The One‑Shot Wire Antenna Slingshot
The One-Shot slingshot is engineered specifically for getting fishing line into trees quickly, accurately, and reliably. Unlike traditional pouch-and-band designs, it uses a durable rubber bag rated for 300+ launches and a precision 1 oz weight to deliver repeatable shots out to 100 ft. Designed to pair with the DX Reel system, The One-Shot lets you launch, reel, and repeat without changing tools — perfect for antenna installers, arborists, and hobbyists who demand consistent performance.

- Seat the Rubber Bag with Ring. inside the face of the slingshot should be a snug fit
- Mount the Reel. Secure the DX Reel System to the top of the ONE-SHOT handle.
- Tie On a Weight. Attach one 1 oz weight to the line with a reliable knot. Check for frays and tangles.
- Load & Draw. Place the weight into the pouch. With a firm grip on the handle, pull the pouch straight back (use the Arm Sling for extra control).
- Aim Safely. Pick a clear trajectory over the target tree—verify no people, animals, vehicles, or power lines are in the line of fire.
- Release Smoothly. Let the pouch go in a controlled motion. Allow the line to glide over the canopy.
- Retrieve & Deploy. Reel the line back and use it to pull your antenna wire or a heavier messenger line into final position.
Essential Safety
- Eye protection required. Ear protection recommended.
- Inspect before each use: sling bands, handle posts, reel mount, line, and knots.
- Clear your range: maintain a safety perimeter of at least 25 ft around the operator.
- Never aim at people, animals, vehicles, windows, or near/over power lines.
- Use only in open outdoor areas with clear overhead space and stable footing.
- Replace worn or damaged parts immediately; discontinue use if damage is found.
Troubleshooting
- Line tangled on release: Ensure the line is tightly spooled and free of knots before each launch.
- Reel Not locking into place: Make sure the rubber bag and ring are seated flush to the face of the One-Shot.
- Short launch distance: The rubber bag may need to be streached before use. You can do this by pulling back on the bag while its seated in the One-Shot. MAKE SURE to have the DX Reel attached or you can launch the rubber bag and ring out of the face.
- Weight veers off course: Inspect for uneven pouch tension or damaged weights. Launch in calm weather for best accuracy.
- Line snagged in trees: Gently pull back on the line; do not pull sharply. Then let go of the line so the weight hopefully frees itself and desends down the tree.
