Essential Safety

  • Eye protection required. Ear protection recommended.
  • Inspect before each use: sling bands, handle posts, reel mount, line, and knots.
  • Clear your range: maintain a safety perimeter of at least 25 ft around the operator.
  • Never aim at people, animals, vehicles, windows, or near/over power lines.
  • Use only in open outdoor areas with clear overhead space and stable footing.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts immediately; discontinue use if damage is found.

Troubleshooting

  • Line tangled on release: Ensure the line is loosely spooled and free of knots before each launch.
  • Pouch slipping from posts: Clean the post ends and make sure bands are seated fully. Replace worn sling bags.
  • Short launch distance: Check that the bands are not twisted or cracked. Use smooth, controlled pull-back instead of jerking motion.
  • Weight veers off course: Inspect for uneven pouch tension or damaged weights. Launch in calm weather for best accuracy.
  • Line snagged in trees: Gently back-reel; do not pull sharply. Attach a heavier messenger line and re-attempt from a new angle.
