Under current federal ATF guidance, 37/38 mm launchers are typically not classified as destructive devices when used only with non-lethal signal/line-launch projectiles. DX Balls may be restricted from shipment to certain states or municipalities where local or state laws limit sale or possession of line-launch equipment.
