HamRadio24-7 CW Contest Trainer

Overview

The HamRadio24-7 CW Contest Trainer is a fully interactive, browser-based Morse-code simulator created by W2RE and AI collaboration. It accurately recreates real HF contest conditions with realistic QRN, QSB, and QRM effects. This platform helps operators sharpen copying accuracy, rhythm, and focus—no software installation required. Everything runs directly in your web browser.

Operating

Press Start to begin your training session.

In Single Mode, one station calls at a time—perfect for rhythm and accuracy drills.

In Pileup Mode, multiple stations call simultaneously, just like a live contest. Copy one or two letters from any caller, type them, and hit Enter. That caller will call back—but you must get the full call correct, because there’s no second check partial. If you miss it, jump to the next caller. This teaches focus and fast decision-making under pressure.

A built-in cheat sheet in the Feedback area hints at the likely caller. Use it sparingly—the goal is to copy by ear in a realistic pileup. This mode trains pure copying speed; we skip sending “CQ” to maximize copying time.

If you want an even tougher challenge, enable Real HF Mode, which activates live-style QRM, QRN, and QSB simulation. Choose between relaxed single-caller practice or dive into the madness of pileup mode to test your true contest focus.

Each correct copy adds 100 points plus streak bonuses; each miss deducts 200 points. The Super Check Partial (SCP) window helps you identify likely matches by prefix.

Session Summary & History

You can run sessions of 5, 10, or 30 minutes—perfect for a quick warm-up or an extended contest-style workout. Practice every day, track your progress, and share your scores!
